PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy describes how I (Lucy Hague) use information that you provide when using this website.  I'm committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected at all times. Any personal information that you provide will be handled in accordance with this privacy policy.

NEWSLETTER MAILING LIST

If you choose to sign up for my newsletter, your first name and e-mail will be stored by Mailchimp (my mailing list provider), for the purposes of periodically sending you information about my new releases, promotional offers and other events and news. You can unsubscribe at any time, either by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of any of the e-mails you've received from me, or by getting in touch at: lucy@lucyhague.co.uk

The information you provide when you sign up to this newsletter will never be shared with any other parties, or used for any purposes other than to send you this newsletter.

PHYSICAL ORDERS

If you order a physical product through this website, your name, postal address (and billing address, if different) and e-mail address will be collected during the checkout process and used for the purposes of preparing and posting your order. I don't store any of this information locally on my computer; all of this information is stored securely by Shopify (my e-commerce provider). Your e-mail address is used during this process to send you updates on the status of your order, however it will not be used for any other purposes, and it will not automatically be added to my newsletter list (if you want to join the newsletter at the same time as placing your order, there's an option to join during the check-out process - however it isn't checked by default, so you need to manually select it).

Again, none of your information will be shared with any other parties and it will never be used for any other purpose than to process and post your order.

RAVELRY

When you buy a digital pattern or e-book from this website, or via my store on Ravelry, I automatically receive a copy of the purchase receipt from Ravelry via email. I also receive information about the transaction via Paypal, which includes the e-mail address associated with your Paypal account. This data is only used for accounting purposes and I will never use a Ravelry username or e-mail address collected in this way to contact you. If I need to send out a pattern/book update, I use Ravelry's update system to automatically e-mail and/or send a Ravelry message to everyone who has previously purchased that particular pattern/book.

Cookies

Cookies are small files which are placed on your computer's hard drive. On this site, Analytics and Performance Cookies are used by Squarespace (the hosting platform of this website) to collect information on sources of traffic, number of visitors and performance. If you do not want this website to store any cookies on your computer or device, you should set your web browser to refuse cookies. However, please note that doing this may affect how this website functions. Some pages and services may become unavailable to you. In particular, this may affect how the Shopify cart works if you are trying to purchase physical products from my online shop.
